The Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants in the distribution system beginning Sunday June 6th, at 9:00 pm. The flush will last until 4:00 am, each morning thereafter, and be finished by Friday, June 11th.
On Monday June 7th, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, commercial sprinkler systems will be permitted to conduct flow testing for annual certification requirements. These tests may also cause a period of discoloration.
Residents may notice periods of little or no water pressure during the hours of the flush, and a brief period of discoloration each morning that follows. Residents are advised to run their cold water tap until clear.
