Born October 10, 1914 in Vallelarga, Italy, he was the son of the Panfilo and Luisa (Federico) Federico. Mr. Federico was a laborer of the Laborers Local 60 in Yonkers. He was a WWII veteran, having fought for the Italian Army, and moved to the U.S. in 1955. He was also a member of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Pierina (Ventresca) Federico, and his three children, Luisa Difonte of Sulmona, Italy, Gina Bodelson of Mahopac and Panfilo Federico of Southbury, CT, and one sister, Anna Berarducci of Nelsonville. Seven grandchildren; Anna Maria Almonte, Joseph Difonte, Antonio Difonte, Kristen Bodelsen, Erik Bodelsen, Brian Curcio and Michael Curcio, and five great grandchildren; Stefania Almonte, Dario Almonte, Wayne Thomas Rhoades, Kyle Rhoades, and David Erik Bodelsen also survive. Two brothers, Domenico and Antonio Federico, and one sister, Pierina D’Amato predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 28 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring followed by entombment in Rose Hills Memorial Park.
