For those Philipstowners that were around in the 1960’s, we have sad news. Bob Bielenberg, our friend, resident artist, illustrator and founder of the Garrison Art Center recently passed on. He is remembered for his talent, commitment to art and love of the Hudson Valley. He was one of handful that pulled together the art show at the Garrison Shool that seeded and nutured the GAC and for starting the first life drawing classes. He had a big heart,spirit and hearty laugh. He and wife Barbara gave a great deal — friendship to many of us and service to our community.
