Arts on the Lake will hold auditions on Saturday, May 7, for an evening of one-act plays that will be presented at the Lake Carmel Cultural Center on June 10 and 11. The plays have been developed in the Playwrights Workshop held at the Center.
The six plays, written by Gabrielle Fox, Carol Mark and Pat O’Connor, call for an ensemble of 15 actors — eight men, age 20’s to 60’s, six women, age 20’s to 30’s and one woman of indeterminate age. The plays will be directed by Tony Howarth, who leads the Playwrights Workshop, and Lora Lee Ecobelli, who teaches acting at the Center.
The auditions will be held at the Lake Carmel Cultural Center, 640 Route 52, Kent Lakes, NY 10512, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. They are open to all and no appointment is necessary.
