Mother’s Day at Boscobel Features Champagne, Dessert and Local Fashions

Boscobel has created a special program entitled Lost in the Rose Garden just for moms on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8.  The afternoon begins with a tour followed by a stroll through the great lawn, admiring the views, to a champagne (lemonade for the young ‘uns) and dessert reception in the Rose Garden.  This will be capped with a fashion and accessories show featuring merchandise from the Cold Spring’s Art To Wear Too, Hudson Valley Outfitters and Payning by Caryn, as well as goodies from the Boscobel Gift Shop. Some unexpected guests may show up; guests who have lost their way  from the early 1800s, only to find a gathering of modern-day moms and daughters wearing —and showing off — clothes and accessories of the 21st century.

The house tour begins at 1:30, and the reception & fashion show start at 2:30 p.m. The price with tour is $40 adults, $30 child (10+). Price without tour: $35 adults, $25 child (10+). Friends of Boscobel: $30 adults, $20 child (10+). In the event of inclement weather, the reception will take place indoors. Space is limited; purchase your ticket in advance by calling 845-265-3638 or online at Boscobel.org.
