Students Compete in NYS Skills USA Competition

Haldane High School students Olivia Hopper and Kristen Derry were chosen to participate in the Skills USA Leadership and Skills State Conference held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. All students involved in this program were carefully chosen as the top students in their programs at The BOCES Tech Center. Olivia Hopper participated in Cosmetology Senior against 44 others from various BOCES across New York State. Kristen Derry was part of a team of two and she competed in Promotional Bulletin Board in which a total of 24 bulletin boards were submitted. Kristen placed second in her competition.
