A half dozen members of the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company (GVFC) responded to an accident on Route 9D, near the Garrison Market this afternoon (Sunday, Sept. 18). At approximately 1:15 p.m. a car and motorcycle collided. GVFC members attended to the drivers and directed traffic until the sheriff and ambulance arrived. There were no immediate fatalities and both drivers were placed on “back boards” and taken to area hospitals.
