To avoid filled sessions, early sign-up is advised
Registration for the Haldane PTA After-school Enrichment Classes has just begun, with both online and paper options. All the details and course descriptions are available online, so don’t miss the February 17 deadline to sign up. This spring’s line-up gets underway the week of March 5 and runs for eight class meetings.
A recent poll of elementary parents revealed a strong desire for classes in art, science, LEGO building and yoga/ dance. So in addition to continuing classes like Chess, Guitar, French, Wearable Art, Drama and Sports/ Fitness, the Enrichment Program now offers classes in Art for K-2, Yoga & Dance Movement for all ages, LEGO, and Science classes for both K-2 and 3-5.
This spring, kids will have a chance to discover their inner Matisse with Art Lab; stretch, balance, and breath deep with yoga; build monuments like the Great Wall of China out of LEGOs; or use scientific methods to drop an egg from six feet without breaking it. And once again Hudson Highland Land Trust’s experts will share their love of the outdoors through the popular EcoKids program. The PTA reminds parents that “your kids won’t learn about gravity, strumming a guitar, or how to put on a puppet show in French if you don’t meet that Feb. 17 deadline!”
