At the Desmond-Fish Library

Author Steven Mattson will talk about his new book, Adventures Around Putnam, at the Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison on Sunday, April 1 at 2 p.m.  Adventures Around Putnam explores the beauty and history of Putnam County and surrounding communities.  Written from the perspective of a father with young children, this book offers a sampling of hikes, historic sites and family-friendly activities.  For each “adventure” the author provides a detailed description, directions, difficulty ratings, pictures, and where to find additional information.

The book was inspired because the author heard too many times “I never knew that was there.” Mattson says that it is “the culmination of a lifetime of small adventures.”

Copies of Adventures Around Putnam will be for sale, and Mattson has kindly agreed to sign them.  This program is free, and all are invited.  Preregistration is not required. For more information, go to the library website  or call 845-424-3020.
