Police ask public’s help.

The Cold Spring Police Department Wednesday afternoon sought citizens’ help in an investigation of thefts from parked cars overnight Tuesday-Wednesday. According to Officer-in-Charge George Kane, “at least 10 vehicles parked on village streets were ransacked and items such as IPods, GPS units, IPhones, and CDs were taken. All vehicles were left unlocked by the owners.” Kane said the thefts took place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., April 10-11. He added that the police seek “the public’s assistance in this case and ask that anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity to call 845-265-3407, extension 22.”
