Saturday May 5, 2-4 p.m. All The Rage!, A Duncan Phyfe Lecture and Tour at Boscobel with Peter M. Kenny of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Register now for this exclusive Boscobel House Tour given by Peter M. Kenny, the Ruth Bigelow Wriston Curator of American Decorative Arts and Administrator at The American Wing of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Kenny will begin with a talk about Duncan Phyfe and the recent Met exhibition then lead a select group of guests through Boscobel House for a special focus on its extensive collection of Duncan Phyfe furnishings. Duncan Phyfe (1770–1854) was known during his lifetime as the “United States Rage,” and to this day remains America’s best-known cabinetmaker.
