For area writers

Arts on the Lake (AotL) inaugurates a writers’ group for those who write novels, short stories, memoir, and non-fiction and are interested in meeting monthly for a roundtable sharing/critique of their work in a friendly, supportive setting. Lake Writers, as the group is named, will hold its first meeting will be Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. at Arts on the Lake, 640 Route 52, Kent Lakes.  The group will meet on the first Wednesday of each month thereafter.

The group leader will be Tom Kersting, AotL member and published writer who has 40 years experience teaching writing in area high schools and colleges. His blog may be accessed at www.thomasdkersting.com. “Writing is such an isolated act,” Kersting says, “so it’s sometimes immensely helpful for writers to have responses to their work in progress and to share their perspectives on the writing process.”
Arts on the Lake is located at 640 Route 52, Kent Lakes
