Plant a Tree with your Mother Day May 13

Scenic Hudson sponsors event at Madam Brett Park

Scenic Hudson is sponsoring Plant a Tree with Your Mother Day at Madam Brett Park in Beacon. The goal is to plant 100 native trees and shrubs at the preserve, located along Fishkill Creek. Participants will pick the planting sites, dig the holes, install the trees and armor them with tree tubes.

Participants are advised to wear clothes that can get dirty, including long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes and a hat. (An evening “tick check” can help prevent tick bites and Lyme disease.) Also suggested are gloves, sunscreen, water, a lunch and bug spray. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

RSVP here. If you have any questions, please contact Scenic Hudson Parks Event and Volunteer Coordinator Anthony Coneski by phone at (845) 473-4440, ext. 273 or by e-mail at aconeski@scenichudson.org.
