Regional craft beers, fine food, music at University Settlement

University Settlement, off of Route 9D in Beacon (just before the Mt. Beacon turn off), is host to this Saturday’s In The Pines, a food, drink and music event, now in it’s 6th edition.  On tap will be regional craft beers as well as music from four bands:  Monski (6 p.m.); Pontoon (7 p.m.); Electric Engine (8 p.m.) and The Higher Animals (8 p.m.).  Doors open at 5 p.m.

You can’t beat the setting of these shows at the theater at University Settlement Camp. If you’ve been to one of these shows you know.  This time round the organizers are “stepping it up and excited to be offering some delicious regional craft beers and to let you know that this time food will be available from Fork and Glass. They will be there serving tacos (pulled pork or black bean/sweet potato), a hot dog with some crazy shrimp salad topping, and sweet crepes.”

Advance tickets are $10 and available through Friday only at Beacon Bagel on Main St., Beacon.  Tickets are $15 at the door, with kids under 10 years old admitted for free.
