The Cold Spring Village Government Monday, Dec. 3, announced that the Historic District Review Board’s public hearing on demolition of the old Butterfield Hospital building would occur this Wednesday night (Dec. 5) at the Cold Spring Firehouse, at Main and Church Streets, not at the village hall, as previously scheduled.

Slated to being at 8 p.m., the hearing will allow members of the public to give their views on tearing down the derelict hospital. The site’s owner proposes to take down the building for redevelopment of the property. His plans call for creating a complex that includes a post office, multi-level government building and senior-citizens center, retail-commercial space, residences, and condominiums.
