Affected areas: Locust Ridge, Mountain Ave., Orchard St., Fishkill Ave.

The Cold Spring Village Office announced Wednesday, May 1, that on Thursday, May 2, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Mainlining Services Inc. crews will be replacing faulty isolation valves at the intersections of Main Street at Locust Ridge, and Main Street at Orchard Street.

During the timeframe cited above, it is possible to experience periods of little or no water pressure at area residences. After service is restored there will most likely be a period of discoloration. Residents are advised to run their cold water taps until clear.

Water Department personnel will also be flushing hydrants in the area to aid in clearing the discoloration.

The anticipated area affected for the project is Locust Ridge, Mountain Avenue, Orchard Street, B Street and Fishkill Avenue.
