Early in the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 7, fire destroyed a house trailer on Wall Street in Cold Spring. Firefighters from the Cold Spring Fire Company fought the blaze, also battling frigid temperatures. Fire companies from Fishkill, Garrison, North Highlands and Putnam Valley also assisted, standard procedure in the event of structural fires. The fire was caused accidentally during an attempt to heat frozen pipes. No one was injured in the incident.
