Friday night at 10:36 p.m. there was a personal injury auto accident involving three vehicles at Route 9 north, just south of Indian Brook Road due to black ice on the road, according to a spokesman for the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company. Route 9 was closed due to the three vehicles across the entire road.

GVFC responded with mutual aid from North Highlands Fire Department. Garrison and Philipstown ambulance companies responded on the scene; drivers with injuries were taken to a hospital. Requested DOT sanding on Route 9. DOT on scene 2 ½ hours after initial call for remediation. Garrison Fire released at 1:30 a.m.
