Accused of kicking out rear window of squad car

The Cold Spring Police Department has reported the arrest of Correna Pidala, 30, a resident of Cold Spring. According to a police media release, on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 5 p.m. police responded to a call about a woman screaming and throwing items on lower Main Street in the village. During the investigation the defendant became disorderly and was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, a violation.

After the defendant was placed in the rear of the patrol car, police said she proceeded to kick out the rear window causing damage to the police car. The defendant was then charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E felony. The defendant was released on bail to appear in the Village of Cold Spring Justice Court on March 12.
