Author highlights grand hotels
Join author Oscar Israelowitz as he presents a historical slide show and lecture of the Catskills at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Howland Public Library. Learn about the history of the grand hotels, the famous entertainers who performed there, the railroads that made it all possible, and the Jewish farmers who first opened their homes to summer visitors.
