Project begins at 8:30 a.m. in Garrison

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is looking for volunteers to help build a trail in Garrison, connecting the new parking lot on Snake Hill Road to the North Redoubt trail head. The new trail will provide hikers heading to this historic Revolutionary War site safer access to the trailhead.

Trail building experience is not necessary. Work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. Come for a few hours, or stay for the whole day. Wear work clothes and be prepared for a rewarding experience. Visit the NY-NJ Trail Conference website.
