Poughkeepsie’s arts nonprofit Mill Street Loft has announced the hiring of Michelle Donner to be its new director of operations, effective Jan. 13.

Donner served as the director of operations for Gipson Design Group, in Rhinebeck, and in upper management positions at other marketing firms in the Hudson Valley and New York City.

“Speaking on behalf of my staff and executive board, we are very excited to have Michelle joining our team at MSL,” commented Executive Director Carole Wolf. “Michelle brings years of marketing, office management, event planning, creative design, fundraising and leadership experience with her. She is very well known in Dutchess County as a dedicated and committed community advocate, and we look forward to collaborating with her in what promises to be a very exciting 2015 for Mill Street Loft.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining Mill Street Loft with its ever-expanding role of advocate of the arts and of artists across the Hudson Valley,” remarked Donner. “Everyone should know just how positive the impact of this incredible organization has on those it serves through the arts, whether young or old, no matter their economic status. We’re looking forward to expanding our programming and positive cultural effect in the near future.”

Mill Street Loft, established in 1981, is a not-for-profit community-based multi-arts educational center, dedicated to bringing a wide range of creative, educational and culturally enriching programs to diverse audiences throughout the Hudson Valley.

  1. Congratulations, Michelle. I will miss seeing you as Terry’s right-hand coordinator while Terry was our wonderful senator. A difficult adjustment to lose him. Love to you both.
