Cold Spring’s Gallery 66 NY will have an exhibit in the upstairs of the Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill entitled A Tribute to New Orleans, on view for two months after the city’s Mardi Gras celebration.
The Paramount will present a concert by Buckwheat Zydeco with Peeksill’s own Professor Louie and the Crowmatix at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, as part of Mardi Gras Madness, Feb. 17 through 21. Use code HALDANE15 to donate $5 per seat purchased to support the Haldane senior class service trip to New Orleans. Tickets cost $30 to $40 and are available for purchase at paramounthudsonvalley.com or by calling the box office at 914-739-0039.
Peekskill’s Mardi Gras celebration features specials and discounts at city restaurants throughout the week, including the Hudson Room, Gleason’s, the Birdsall House, the Peekskill Brewery, the Quiet Man and Ruben’s, where diners can enjoy a 20 percent discount on Buckwheat Zydeco tickets with proof of a dining purchase between Feb. 17 and 21. Some restaurants may have dinner and show packages available.
