For a while on Saturday morning (Feb 21) it appeared that another round of vandalism had taken place in Cold Spring. A late model Volvo parked near the gazebo next to The Depot Restaurant had all four tires punctured or slashed. Passersby understandably thought it was a new incident – but that was not the case.
The Volvo in question was one of 13 cars that suffered tire damage on the weekend of January 10-11 as part of a vandalism spree in the Metro North parking lot. It had sat in the MTA parking lot ever since but was moved to Depot Square sometime before Saturday morning. By Sunday morning the car, which bears Pennsylvania license plates, had been removed.
