Merchants accept donations, fundraiser March 21
The Cold Spring Merchants have set up a Go Fund Me account for Charlie Hustis to help fund medical treatment and support him and his family.
According to the website, Hustis, well known as the guy behind the counter for 38 years at Cold Spring Pizza, has been diagnosed with cancer in his small intestine.
He has been in and out of the hospital while he and his wife Jamie are living with a relative, and while their son Chuck is living with a friend, since they cannot reside in their apartment because the ceiling recently caved in.
Donations can be made at the website or sent as a check payable to Charles Hustis and mailed to Cold Spring Merchants Association, 97 Main St., Cold Spring, NY 10516.
A fundraiser has been scheduled for Saturday, March 21, at the Silver Spoon, with a night of music. All donations will go to the fund.
I’d be glad to help out with any construction needs.
Please come with a memorable Charlie story for the event. He would appreciate the laughs.
We have a great night of music lined up featuring many of our own local musicians and performers. Come by the Silver Spoon this Saturday night in support of Charlie and his family!
