The Philipstown Depot Theatre welcomes to its stage the Fifth Annual Aery Theatre Company Ariane One-Act Festival on March 20, 21 and 22.

Five original one-act plays by award-winning local playwrights will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. Sunday. Included are

  • Another Famous Dead Artist, written and directed by Anthony Marinelli, with Rick Schneider, Amanda Greer and Lucy Dolly Caires
  • The Date Dinger, written and directed by Albi Gorn, with Donna White, Gary Simon and Tom Ammirato
  • Mister Kabuchi, written by Patrick J. Lennon and directed by Christopher Lukas, with Michael Edan and Christopher Lukas
  • Home, written by Kristina Zill and directed by Nancy Larsen, with Nancy Maloy, Dan Anderson and Doris Jean Kolarek
  • Grey Areas, written and directed by Richard E. Knipe Jr., with Ali Bernhardt and Joe Niola

The festival is dedicated to the memory of Aery Theatre member Ariane Orenstein, who lost her long battle with cancer in 2011 at age 51. Her life on and off the stage is a model to all those lucky enough to have known her.
