Ceremonies on Friday, July 3

The City of Beacon announces the Big Splash Pool Opening celebration, taking place on Friday, July 3, at noon.

Under the supervision of Recreation Director Mark Price, the city’s long dormant pool went through a major overhaul this spring that included the installation of new fences and the creation of a new picnic area. Mayor Randy Casale noted that “finally, after six years of being closed, we are proud to bring the Beacon pool back to our residents. This project is a result of a collaborative effort between many city departments and the City Council, who chose to set aside funding for this project through the 2015 Budget. We are all very excited to welcome summer here in Beacon.”

The grand reopening ceremonies will begin at noon at the pool, located at the Park at University Settlement Camp, 724 Wolcott Ave. in Beacon.
