Rain expected, but reservoir at 58.5 percent capacity
The Cold Spring Village Board on Sept. 29 instituted a mandatory ban on outdoor watering, effective immediately, after being informed by Water Superintendent Greg Phillips that the village reservoir has dropped to 58.5 percent capacity.
Although the forecast for rain over the next week is promising, Phillips recommended the village err on the side of caution with the ban.
