Environmentalists concerned about risks

The Philipstown Garden Club will host a forum on crude oil rail transport and two proposed pipelines in the Hudson Valley at 2 p.m on Saturday, April 2, at the Garrison School.

The speakers will be Paul Gallay, president of Hudson Riverkeeper, Audrey Friedrichsen, an attorney for Scenic Hudson who specializes in land use and environmental advocacy, and Jennifer Metzger, co-director of Citizens for Local Power.

The event is co-sponsored by Riverkeeper, Scenic Hudson, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary, Catskill Mountain Keeper and Citizens for Local Power. To  RSVP, visit riverkeeper.org. The Garrison School is located at 1100 Route 9D.
