Charlie Albright will perform April 3

Charlie Albright returns to the Howland Cultural Center at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, to conclude the annual piano festival sponsored by the Howland Chamber Music Circle. The recipient of the 2014 Avery Fisher Career Grant and 2010 Gilmore Young Artist Award has been a guest artist with the BBC Concert Orchestra on tour with Dutchess County native maestro Keith Lockhart.

For his recital at the Howland Center, Albright will perform an all-Beethoven program: the Sonata in E Major, Op. 109; 32 Variations on an Original Theme in C Minor, WoO 80; 15 Variations and Fugue in E-flat Major (“Eroica Variations”).

Tickets at $30 ($10 for students) and can be reserved by calling 845-765-3012 or online at howlandmusic.org. The center is located at 477 Main St. A reception with the artist will follow the performance.
