Spotted fire and alerted authorities
Seven-year-old Chase Piotrowski of Beacon was awarded an honorary fire helmet from Beacon City Fire Department officials on Saturday, April 23. Two days earlier, Piotrowski had discovered a forest fire and made sure the fire department was notified.
