Buster Levi Opens “Works on Paper”

Opening reception set for June 3

The Buster Levi Gallery in Cold Spring will hold an opening reception for a group show called “Works on Paper” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3. The show will run through June 26.

This show highlights different ways gallery artists along with a guest artist, Jackie Skrzynski, use paper to create either finished works in themselves or as various kinds of studies for their body of work as a whole. Works on paper, traditionally drawings or prints, were historically either copies of existing finished artworks or preparatory studies related to the development of paintings or sculptures. Most of the pieces in the exhibit are not preparatory studies and are considered by each artist as a completed statement.

The gallery is located at 121 Main St. It is open from noon to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. For more information, visit busterlevigallery.com.
