Radoccia, who earned an MFA in Painting from the State University of NY at Buffalo, worked as a designer and fine art painter from his studio in Brooklyn before moving to Beacon in 2013.

A year ago, Radoccia set aside his oil paints, canvas and colorful pallet and picked up an ebony pencil, a couple earthen toned acrylics and a roll of paper. “I wanted to create not just larger-than-life representational portraits, but faces that somehow would engage the viewer and hint at the essence of the personality portrayed,” he says.
