Lawn party set for July 23

Beacon 3D will host an open lawn party at Bank Square Coffeehouse at 129 Main St., from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, for this year’s exhibit on and near Main St. The party will take place at the site of Jon Reichert’s sculpture, The Yawner.

The public art project began in 2013 with three sculptures, and with assistance from Arts Mid-Hudson has in its fourth year expanded to include 12 works by 11 artists: Wilfredo Morel, Ann Provan, Herman Roggeman, Insun Kim, Judy Sigunick, Sarah Haviland, Ed Benavente, Ken Wright, Emil Alzamora, Jon Reichert and Naomi Teppich. According to exhibit founder Eleni Smolen, organizers have launched an acquisition fund to acquire works and plan to make their first purchase in the fall.
