Symphony will perform on July 30

The Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra will present a free Summer Pops Concert at Downing Park at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 30. During the program, entitled “A Whirlwind Tour of Europe,” children from the audience will be invited to conduct.

The program includes Dvorak’s Slavonic Dance #8, Sibelius’s Finlandia, Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjues, 2nd Movement, Berlioz’s Marche au Suplice (from Symphonie Fantastique), Elgar’s Pomp & Circumstance March #1, Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody #2, Strauss’s On the Beautiful Blue Danube and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
