Volunteers will assist flood victims by phone

The American Red Cross of the Mid-Hudson Valley has an urgent need for volunteers to work as virtual caseworkers to assist flood victims in Louisiana by telephone. Four hours of online training is required, as well a quiet work space, reliable phone and internet service and basic technology skills such as data entry into a spreadsheet.

The Red Cross needs volunteers who can commit to five consecutive days for one or both of two shifts: from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. or from 1:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. For more information, email Kelly Formoso, Disaster Program Manager of the American Red Cross Mid-Hudson Valley, at [email protected].
