In light of the recent sad circumstances about Anna Dewdney’s passing and all the media coverage calling her the “original Mama Llama,” I’m gratified to know someone out there still remembers my own book, written so many years before the “Llama Llama” series. Ms. Dewdney’s books and my title were often confused for one another’s so I was especially shocked and saddened by her sudden passing and my heart goes out to her family. Thank you for encouraging literacy by using books like ours…and your lovable llama!
