Busy Day for Garrison F.D.

After a false alarm at 9:09 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, the Garrison Volunteer Fire Department was called to extinguish a car firm on Route 9 near Cross Road at 2:51 p.m. When the trucks had gotten back to the station, at 3:52 p.m. a third call came in that a car had gone off the road on Route 9D near Dicks Castle Road. The Cold Spring Fire Department also responded in mutual aid, and the driver was taken to the hospital.
