Two genius grant winners to read

The Sunset Reading Series at the Chapel Restoration in Cold Spring on Sunday, Oct. 16 will feature two poets who have been awarded MacArthur Foundation genius grants. Terrance Hayes, who has published five books of poetry and won the National Book Award, last year released his most recent collection How to be Drawn.

Edward Hirsch is the author of more than a dozen books of poetry and prose, including Gabriel, a book-length poem about his late son, and A Poet’s Glossary.

The reading begins at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. The event is free, but donations are welcome.
