Poet laureate to share verse

Beacon’s poet laureate, Thomas O’Connell, will get everyone in the Halloween spirit by reading poems about the supernatural and with an eerie theme at the Howland Library in Beacon on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The free event is appropriate for middle school-aged children to adults who enjoy a little literary scare.
