Photographer Anita Peltonen went to the Dark Parade in Beacon on Oct. 22 and reported that the 40 mph winds and dipping temperatures discouraged all but the heartiest residents, who at one point were outnumbered by Beacon police officers. But all ended well in the heated confines of the Beacon Elks Lodge.
