Sargent PTO organizes fundraiser
The Sargent Elementary School PTO has organized a fundraiser in partnership with Barnes and Noble’s Poughkeepsie location for Saturday, Nov. 5. A percentage of purchases made at the store using the Sargent Bookfair voucher, available at the school office or at the PTO’s Facebook page, will be used to create a Lightbulb Lab.
If you can’t make it to the store that day, you can support the event by making a purchase between Nov. 5 and Nov. 10 at bn.com/bookfairs using Sargent’s Bookfair ID 12019725.
The lab will be a place where students can research, design, and invent creations and solve problems using technology old and new. The Barnes and Noble store is hosting a Mini Maker Faire that coincides with the fundraiser in which children and teenagers ages 3 to 18 can participate in hands-on workshops.
