Recognized for environmental work

At a benefit brunch and silent auction to be held Nov. 12, the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum in Cornwall will honor Garrison resident Christopher Buck and his family’s nonprofit, the Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck Foundation. An award will recognize the Bucks as a “First Family for the Environment in the Hudson Valley.”

Buck is an advisory board member for the museum. Because of the foundation’s focus on land conservation, he also serves on the boards of the Hudson Highlands Land Trust and Scenic Hudson. (In addition, he is a supporter and former board member of Highlands Current Inc.) Tickets for the fundraiser start at $125 and can be purchased at hhnaturemuseum.org.
