Accused of breaking into Nelsonville home

Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Philipstown man on Dec. 16 on suspicion of a residential burglary.

James A. Pidala, 24, was arrested in connection to a break-in in Nelsonville on Dec. 9 and an attempted break-in at the same home on Dec. 15. Pidala was charged with burglary, grand larceny and attempted burglary, all felonies.

Pidala was arraigned in Philipstown Justice Court and sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
