Phyllis F. Boudrias (1929-2017)

Phyllis F. Boudrias, 87, died Jan. 11, 2017, at Wingate at Beacon.

Phyllis was born in Boston on May 23, 1929, the daughter of Henry Goguen and Agnes (Boudreau) Moylan and grew up in Cambridge. She worked for John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston for 25 years before retiring in 1992.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Nettleton (Peter) of Beacon; Gail Weir (Paul) of Bellevue, Nebraska; and Wayne Boudrias (Silvana) of Medford, Massachusetts, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held on Jan. 16 at Halvey Funeral Home in Beacon. Memorial donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation (abcf.org/donate).

Fausto Cabral Sr.

Fausto Mateo Cabral Sr. (1930-2017)

Fausto Mateo Cabral Sr., 86, of Beacon, died Jan. 9, 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.

Born April 28, 1930 in San Juan De La Maguana, Dominican Republic, he was the son of Idalio and Josefa (Mateo) Cabral. He was a retired machine operator for Tesa Tape in Middletown and a member of Tabernacle De Christo in Beacon.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Margaret Durling Cabral and eight children, including Barbara Cabral-Carrion and Beatrice Riguelme of Beacon.

Funeral services will be held Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. at Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Ave., Beacon, with interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Timothy Lange

Timothy Edward Lange (1968-2017)

Timothy Edward Lange, 48, of Wappingers Falls, died Jan. 6, 2017, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born Nov. 21, 1968, in North Tarrytown, he was the son of the late Egon Lange and Shirley E. Tompkins Hallock.

Timothy was a baker for The Cake Bin in Beacon for 36 years.

Survivors include his mother, his daughter Katherine Lange and son Timothy Lange, both of Idaho; two sisters, Rojeana Bowden of North Carolina and Tabitha Touhey of Newburgh; his twin brother Kenneth Lange of Florida; and his brothers John Lange of North Carolina and Fred Touhey of Hopewell Junction.

A funeral service was held on Jan. 10 at Libby Funeral Home in Beacon, with interment at Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.

Valerie Towsley

Valerie Towsley (1942-2017)

Valerie K. Towsley, 74, of Beacon, died on Jan. 9, 2017, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.

The daughter of John and Anne (Seelig) Palmer, she was born in Glendale on March 26, 1942. After growing up on Long Island, Valerie relocated to Dutchess County with her family in 1966.

In 2009, she retired from IBM, where she worked as an administrative assistant for 10 years. Prior to that, she worked as an assistant bookkeeper for the YWCA.

Valerie was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. For 20 years she and her husband organized and hosted Pre-Cana meetings. Their guidance assisted 140 couples prepare for marriage in the Catholic Church. For many years, she volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels of Dutchess County. In addition to her work, church, and volunteer activity, Valerie also enjoyed sewing and tailoring as well as reading.

On July 3, 1965, she married Edward T. Towsley at St. Bernard’s Church in Levittown. He survives at home in Beacon.

She is also survived by their five children: Jennifer Ambrosini (Andrew Houle) of Beacon; Dana Masullo (Jim) of Brookfield, Connecticut; Valerie Anne Capalbo (Roland) of Beacon; Joachim Towsley (Amanda) of Whidbey Island, Washington; and Lee Towsley (Christina) of Highland. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 13 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, with interment at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
