Low-income, elderly can receive assistance

The Westchester-Putnam Workforce Development Board launched a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program on Feb. 1 to help low-income residents take advantage of tax credits and refunds.

People who earn less than $54,000 annually, those with disabilities and those who speak limited English can qualify. At the same time, a Tax Counseling for the Elderly program assists people over the age of 60. Call 914-995-3910.
