Dera Boone earns academic honors
Dera Boone of Beacon, a freshman on the women’s track and field team at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, was one of 205 student-athletes named to the Northeast-10 Conference honor roll. The conference consists of 15 Division II schools. To be named to the honor roll, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
Boone, a 2016 graduate of Beacon High School, is studying early childhood education. She specializes in sprints and jumps.
