The town bridge on Avery Road near Indian Brook Road in Garrison will be closed for repairs from Tuesday, May 16, until approximately July 28. Avery Road will be accessible only from Snake Hill Road.

A bridge that crosses Indian Brook on Avery Road in Garrison will be closed.

The project was authorized by the Philipstown Town Board last year after New York State flagged the bridge in 2015 as needing repair.

The board accepted a bid in March of $204,751.10 for the work from Land Works Excavating of Pawling. Residents with questions are asked to call the Philipstown Highway Department at 845-265-3530.
