In the Section 9, Class D title game on May 25, Garrison residents accounted for seven of O’Neill’s goals: Jack Kelly (3), Brian Kelly (3) and Derrick Champi (1). The Raiders lost in the next round to Section 1 champion Westlake, 20-3.

Girls’ Golf

Kristin Scali of Garrison, playing for O’Neill High School, finished 37th at the state championship and third among Section 9 golfers. Carmel junior Lauren Peter won the title.

Scholar Athletes

To receive Scholar-Athlete team recognition from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, the average GPA for 75 percent of the roster must be at least 90. Following each sport are the number of team members who had an “A” average during the spring season: Baseball (9), Boys’ Golf (11), Girls’ Golf (3), Boys’ Lacrosse (8), Boys’ Track/Field (8), Girls’ Track/Field (20), Softball (12).
