Annual fundraiser set for July 8

The Putnam History Museum will hold its annual lawn party from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, at the home of the Pugh family at 3 Rock St. in Cold Spring. The attire is summer whites for the rain-or-shine event. Tickets are $70 through July 3, or $80 at the door. Valet parking will be available.

The party will include a sneak peek of scenes from the forthcoming production by the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival of The General from America, which opens at Boscobel on Aug. 8. The production will coincide with the exhibit Treason! Benedict Arnold in the Hudson Highlands, which opens at the museum on July 23. Museum admission is $5 for adults, $2 for seniors and students, and free for children and members. It is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.
